Menindaklanjuti Surat Edaran Plt. Direktur Jenderal Direktorat Jenderal Pendidikan Tinggi, Riset, Dan Teknologi, Kementerian Pendidikan, Kebudayaan, Riset, Dan Teknologi Republik Indonesia, Prof. Ir. Nizam, M.Sc., DIC, Ph.D., IPU, Asean Eng Nomor 4 Tahun 2021 Tentang Penyelenggaraan Pembelajaran Tatap Muka Tahun Akademik 2021/2022. Akhirnya kampus Politeknik Maritim Negeri Indonesia (POLIMARIN) memulai Pertemuan Tatap Muka (PTM) secara langsung dan perdana pada hari ini, Senin 29 November 2021, setelah hampir 2 tahun melaksanakan Perkuliahan Jarak Jauh (PJJ).
PTM terbatas dimulai dari mahasiswa semester 3, mereka baru pertama kali ini berinteraksi secara langsung dengan teman dan dosen di lingkungan kampus. Mahasiswa yang mengikuti PTM terbatas wajib menunjukkan bukti vaksin minimal dosis pertama dan hasil negatif swab antigen.
Persyaratan PTM di POLIMARIN
Sebelum dilaksanakan PTM mahasiswa telah menjalani masa karantina di asrama POLIMARIN dengan menerapkan protokol kesehatan Covid-19 secara ketat. Masa karantina dilakukan selama 1 minggu dengan dibagi menjadi 4 gelombang. Gelombang pertama pada 31 oktober 2021, gelombong kedua 7 november 2021, gelombang ketiga 14 november 2021, dan terakhir 21 November 2021 sebagai gelombang keempat. Mereka melewati beberapa pos pemeriksaan mulai dari penyemprotan disinfektan, pengecekan suhu badan, swab antigen dan kelengkapan protokol kesehatan.
Kegiatan PTM terbatas dimulai dengan apel pagi yang dipimpin oleh wakil direktur II Bidang Umum dan Keuangan, Nurita Widianti, S.Psi., M.Psi. Dalam amanatnya beliau berpesan “Hal yang perlu diperhatikan bersama yaitu mahasiswa semester 3 mulai melaksanakan Pertemuan Tatap Muka (PTM) pada 29 November 2021. Kepada seluruh dosen dan tenaga kependidikan di lingkungan Polimarin untuk dapat mendukung kegiatan dengan menerapkan protokol kesehatan ketat dan menegur kepada mahasiswa yang abai.”
Mahasiswa Senang Kuliah Luring
Pembelajaran selama ini dilakukan secara virtual, namun kualitas interaksi dan komunikasi sangat jauh berbeda jika dibandingkan dengan pembelajaran langsung atau luring. Interaksi secara langsung menciptakan suasana yang lebih hangat dan menghilangkan kejenuhan dalam belajar.
Nur Fallah, mahasiswa prodi Teknika POLIMARIN mengungkapkan. Ia mengaku senang dengan dibukanya kembali PTM ini, terlebih Nur Fallah merupakan mahasisswa angkatan 2020 yang sejak awal tidak merasakan suasana PTM sejak awal pandemi Covid-19. “Kami merasakan hal yang seharusnya sudah menjadi keharusan namun baru bisa merasakannya sekarang, sehingga kami merasa sangat antusias karena mampu membangun kedekatan emosional antar sesama teman maupun dosen. Kami merasa senang karena dapat menyaksikan ataupun memahami langsung arahan dari dosen khususnya perihal akademik.”
Evaluasi akan terus dilakukan untuk melihat perkembangan PTM di setiap prodi. Bila PTM terbatas berjalan lancar maka akan dilanjutkan dan ditambah kapasitas mahasiswanya. Penambahan juga akan dilakukan bertahap dan tetap diprioritaskan untuk siswa baru dan mahasiswa yang akan menjalankan ujian.
Dengan dimulainya PTM terbatas ini diharapkan mahasiswa bisa mulai mengenal lingkungan kampus dan bersosialisasi, sebagaimana tuntutan pendidikan abad ini tidak hanya kecerdasan dalam bidang akademik, tetapi juga tentang jejaring, komunikasi dan bagaimana kolaborasi di dalamnya.
